Aiming to continue providing Nanaimo with fresh, local options, Chef David Peck has turned his attention to the relaxed, casual dining atmosphere. Located in the heart of downtown Nanaimo; Top Notch Burgers aims to impress residents and tourists alike with an exciting food menu and a refreshing cocktail menu. Located in the Best Western Dorchester, our restaurant is situated inside one of Nanaimo’s most historic buildings, and is in walking distance to many of the city’s best attractions.

Our meat is produced by MeatCraft, a trusted supplier who sources a special blended beef chuck grind exclusively for us. The patties we serve are meticulously handcrafted in-house every day using only the finest seasonings. What sets our burgers apart is that they contain no gluten, added preservatives, or fillers, making them a healthier option without compromising on flavor. As for our bison meat, it comes from MorningStar Ranch, owned and operated by Buffalo Bob himself. He takes great pride in ensuring his buffalo are well cared for, resulting in high-quality, grass-fed meat that gives our burgers a unique taste. When you sink your teeth into one of our creations, you can truly experience the skill brought to each delicious bite by our seasoned chefs utilizing our trusty flat top. To complement our delectable patties, our buns are freshly baked each day by our local Cobbs bakery. You can rest assured that these buns contain no preservatives or artificial flavors, just pure, wholesome goodness. Additionally, we take pride in sourcing our organic greens from Shelly at Early Girl Urban Farm. She personally grows each herb, ensuring that the flavors are vibrant and the quality is top-notch. From farm to table, we strive to create an exceptional dining experience that's truly a cut above the rest.
